Emergency Response Procedures

There must be an emergency response procedure in place and all employees must know what their role is, in the event of an emergency.

All employees must be trained to respond to an H2S release, even if their only response is evacuation.

A rescue plan shall be in place and emergency numbers posted so that everyone knows who to call, in the event of an emergency.

Equipment that is to be used for rescue must be present, and in good working order.

Only people who have been rescue trained (and are equipped for rescue), are able to perform rescue operations.

There must be a respiratory program in place if anyone is required to self-rescue, and don supplied air.
